Emmanuel Pacquiao is his given name. He was born on December 17, 1978 at Kibawe, Bukidnon, and presently resides in his hometown, General Santos City, South Cotabato. His is also known as “Pac Man” and “The Destroyer” in his boxing career. He stands 5 feet 6 inches tall. He is married to Jinkee Pacquiao and they have four children namely Jimuel, Michael, Princess, and Queen Elizabeth. His parents are Rosalio Pacquiao and Dionesia Pacquiao. Manny is the fourth among six siblings Liza, Domingo, Isidra, Bobby, and Rogelio. He is baptized as Christian in Roman Catholic Church.
He graduated elementary education at Savedra Saway Elementary School in General Santos City and did not pursue in high school education because of financial problem. Last February 2007, he passed high school equivalency examination which makes him a high school graduate and qualified for college education. The Department of Education awarded him the high school diploma.
Currently he is the pound-for-pound boxer of the world. Pacquiao is the only boxer who wins seven titles in seven different categories specifically WBO World welterweight champion, The Ring light welterweight champion, World light welterweight champion, WBC World lightweight champion, WBC World super featherweight champion, IBF World super bantamweight champion, WBC World flyweight champion, The Ring featherweight, and Super Featherweight Champion.
Last May 10, 2010 election he won as the Congressman Manny Pacquiao of Sarangani province. He runs under the banner of Nationalist Party and under the presidency of Manny Villar. Manny knockout Roy Chiongbian and got the score of 56,810 votes while Chiongbian mustered 28,506 votes.
Just recently, Pacquiao’s was awarded as the Fighter of the Decade by the Boxing Writers Association of America. Manny and his family are now on their way to New York City to receive the award. Awarding ceremony will be held on June 4, 2010 at Rosevelt Hotel in Manhattan. This truly another milestone for Pacquiao’s boxing career.
